#17802–Measuring Operational Deflections Shapes with Digital Image Correlation

This Digital Image Correlation Vibration Analysis tutorial will provide attendees with the basic principles of theory and testing methods of digital image correlation and how they apply to vibration analysis applications. First, the underlying principles for both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) digital image correlation will be presented, then attendees will be shown how to perform a typical 3D transient vibration test and analyze the results in VIC-3D.
Individuals interested in full-field, non-contacting vibration, shape, and deformation measurement methods are encouraged to attend. This material does not require background knowledge of either 2D or 3D digital image correlation.
